Welcome to September!

Welcome to September! This is a big month for Dayspring and a lot of times we may tend to look at it with a mixture of dread, excitement, and anticipation. Which one best describes your view of September?

I have found that when we look at a busy month as a whole, it can be overwhelming, but if we break it down to one day at a time and each morning, we ask God to give us the grace needed for that day, it becomes much more manageable. God doesn’t give us today, the grace we need for tomorrow. He wants us to engage with him each day with a dependence and reliance on him.

Jesus sympathizes with our weakness, our apprehension, our fear. He has felt the same emotions we often feel. And so, as the writer of Hebrews instructs us in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need".

I pray that this month will be a month where you experience that mercy and grace in abundance. He is able to do above and beyond what you can even imagine.

Blessings, Phil

George Floyd

George Floyd – isn’t it amazing how quickly the narrative can change. A week ago, the name of this man would have meant nothing to most of us, but now it has taken the spotlight off of even Covid-19.
