I’m currently about halfway thru a class on Church History and It has been really interesting to see how much emphasis has been placed on the person and work of Jesus Christ throughout the history of the church. It seems like there have always been heresies circulating within the church, trying to diminish either the deity or the humanity of Jesus.  Colossians 2:9 gives us a well rounded and simple picture of the truth. “For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily”. 

This morning in my time of prayer, I was asking God to show me what he wants me to do. But while praying this, I felt an urge to change this request a bit. Because you see, for the most part, we know what God wants us to do. What we really need is to know Him better.
